The hubs and I went to a therapist today. Not because we don't understand grief. I promise you we are becoming fast pros. Not because we're falling apart as a couple, I can honestly say we have never been closer in our relationship. Not because we're weak and can't get through this on our own, I know that we could. But because it's hard, life's hard, and why not get as much help as you possibly can? I don't think everything he said was super awesome but he had a lot of great insight and ideas for us that might end up really helping. I think people look at therapy in the wrong way... like if they go to a therapist they're weak fir admitting they're having a difficult time with something. It's not that at all!! If anything you're STRONG for recognizing you have something you need to deal with and for seeking help that is rightfully yours. Let others in, let them help you, and let yourself feel. It's the only way to heal and get past things. *Words of Ariel, not the therapist we saw today lol* Just don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it.
